KOTI KAUPUNGISSA – 1 kortteli, 11 tarinaa presents 11 Finnish urban homes with 186 beautiful pictures and 11 stories. The homes for the book were selected from a popular block in a trending neighbourhood in Tampere, Finland.
In the book’s stories, people share their thoughts about urban living, 1950s design, community, everyday life, and living in small spaces, for example.
Matassa is one of the designers and writers as well as the publisher of KOTI KAUPUNGISSA.

Matassa’s own knit designs & patterns on the knit and crochet community Revelry.
Matassa has translated hundreds of knitting and crochet patterns from English to Finnish (and some even from Norwegian to Finnish). English patterns often have written row-by-row instructions, whereas Finnish knitters prefer to knit from charts. Therefore, translating knitting patterns requires chart drawing skills as well.
